Gone Fishin' is a pelican with a bucket full of Swedish Fish. Pelicans aren't known as picky eaters or the brightest birds in the flock, so it seemed like a fitting catch.

How It's Made

It all starts with a painting.

Every FLYN hat begins with an original painting created by Flyn. The paintings are the heart of what we do - they are where every color, shape and idea begins. We have the artwork turned into patches, and then we sew each patch onto the hats ourselves. What starts as an original painting becomes something you can wear.

Materials

  • 100% acrylic
  • Heather Grey: 62/38 acrylic/polyester
  • All other heather colors: 50/50 acrylic/polyester

Care

Most FLYN hats are best cleaned by hand.

Fill a sink or bowl with cool water and a small amount of mild detergent.

Gently scrub dirty areas with a soft cloth or tooth brush.

Rinse thoroughly with cool water. Gently reshape the hat and let it air dry. If you want it to form to your head let it dry on the noggin.

Keep it out of the dryer and away from high heat.

Never put your FLYN hat in the washing machine or dryer. A little extra care will keep your hat looking great for years to come.

Orders returned to us due to Insufficient address or wrong address or undeliverable address will incur a extra shipping cost at buyers expense to reship.

Option 1: is to pay the extra shipping fee.

Options 2: To get a refund for the order minus the shipping cost and a return fee of $5.

Pelicans have always fascinated me. They're enormous, beautiful birds with those ridiculous proportions - huge beaks, enormous feet, and a kind of awkward presence on the ground that makes it hard to imagine how gracefully they can fly.

Gone Fishin' was a fun excuse to paint one. The joke is pretty simple; pelicans are not exactly known for being picky eaters or the brightest birds in the flock, so a giant bucket of Swedish Fish seemed like a fitting catch.
