Collection: Flat Brims

Flat visor, high crown, zero subtlety. These snapbacks give our animal patches the biggest stage in the shop, starting with the Not Dead Yet opossum on corduroy. Painted by Flyn Costello, sewn by hand in Maine, worn by people who don't mind being noticed.

About Our Flat Brims

Flat brims are the loudest hat in the shop, and we mean that as a compliment. A stiff, flat visor, a structured crown and an adjustable snapback closure give the patch a big, square stage, which is exactly what a painting of a grinning opossum deserves. They sit higher and squarer than a dad hat and hold their shape season after season.

The collection is led by the Not Dead Yet corduroy flat brims, offered with a large patch or a small one and built around the opossum that has become a FLYN icon. Every patch starts as an original painting by Flyn Costello and is sewn on by hand in our Westbrook, Maine studio, so each hat carries a little of the artist's brushwork along with the joke.

If you've been searching for a corduroy flat bill hat, an animal snapback or a Not Dead Yet cap, this is where they live. New colorways and animals rotate through as the paintings do.
