FLYN apparel starts the same way the hats do: with a painting. Flyn Costello's animals - the Beer Bandit raccoon, the Not Dead Yet opossum, Pigeons Run on Donuts, the Usual Suspects - are printed, pressed or patched onto clothing in our Westbrook, Maine studio, so the artwork can leave the wall and go out for coffee. The theme is the same one that runs through the paintings, which Flyn calls our shared environment: the raccoons, pigeons and seagulls that live alongside us and help themselves to our snacks.

The collection covers graphic t-shirts and long sleeves, hoodies and sweatshirts, the one-off two-tone hoodies that never repeat, the Beer Bandit work jacket with its large patch, baby onesies, and the handmade line of upcycled tank dresses, capri pants, vests and reclaimed-denim aprons that are sewn one at a time.
