King Kong Is Boston Strong

King Kong taking a break in Boston, sitting on the Citgo sign with an iced coffee from Dunkin in his hand while a Boston police helicopter circles overhead.

I painted this when we opened our Boston store. I had always wanted an excuse to paint apes, monkeys and gorillas and King Kong seemed like a pretty good one. The Boston setting just made it more fun.
